One of the reasons I use Moses as the core of the book, the hero of the book, is that so many people have a very narrow, incomplete view of Moses. They think of Moses as the triumphant miracle worker splitting the sea, calling down the plagues. I see him as a very complicated man, and a man dealing with a lot of frustration and a lot of disappointment.
