He just marked his forty-third birthday a month ago, but this morning came word that conservative blogger, author, publisher and rabble-rouser Andrew Breitbart has died.
According to the Associated Press,
Breitbart was walking near his house in the Brentwood neighborhood shortly after midnight Thursday when he collapsed, said his father-in-law, Orson Bean. Someone saw him fall and called paramedics, who tried to revive him. They rushed him to the emergency room at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, Bean said.
Breitbart drove investigations that led to the downfall of New York Congressman Anthony Weiner, as well as former Agriculture Department official Shirley Sherrod, although it was later revealed in that instance that Breitbart had selectively edited a video to make Sherrod look worse.
