Anne Lamott “Imperfect Birds”
April 10th, 2010
When we first met Rosie Ferguson, it was in Anne Lamott‘s 1983 novel “Rosie.” She was a cute little girl then. Now in Lamott’s new book “Imperfect Birds,” Rosie is a high school senior – smart, ambitious, full of promise.
But she’s also a skilled liar and manipulator who’s also addicted to drugs and sex. Rosie’s parents, burdened by their own failures, are increasingly desperate to hang onto the little girl they once knew.
