Of the 39 million men and women who have served in the U.S. military since the Civil War, some 34-hundred have so distinguished themselves on the battlefield that they were presented with the nation’s highest military award, the Medal of Honor.

More than a hundred living recipients are honored in a book first published to great acclaim in 2003. Now there’s a new edition that includes a new foreword, new portraits, and a multimedia DVD. It is also the only book sponsored and endorsed by the Congressional Medal of Honor Foundation.
