Among the rock music superstars of the mid and late 1960s, there were the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan … and Donovan, the Scottish-born original “flower child” whose musical influence was immense, for fans and fellow musicians alike.
By 1970, Donovan had recorded more than a dozen top-ten singles, written some 200 other songs recorded by major artists, and he was still only 24. And that’s when he dropped out. Now he talks about his youth, his music, and his legacy.
