Emily Benedek “Red Sea”
October 20th, 2007
When journalist Emily Benedek was working on an article for Newsweek on counterterrorism, once of the sources she turned to was a senior Israeli counterterrorism expert.
So much of what she learned from him could not be told in the Newsweek article, only in fiction. The result is her first novel, a troublingly-realistic thriller that begins with a series of plane crashes and races toward an ending that could be catastrophic. It’s called “Red Sea.”
