Janet Fitch “Paint it Black”
September 30th, 2006
Two women who couldn’t be less alike form an uneasy and unlikely relationship after a young painter takes his own life, in Janet Fitch‘s new novel “Paint it Black.”
One of the women is Michael Faraday’s mother, a renowned and brilliant concert pianist — the other is his girlfriend Josie, an art model from a white trash family. Each is trying to come to terms with Michael’s death, and neither, it turns out, knew him the way they thought they did.
