John Elder Robison found with his first book, “Look Me in the Eye,” that he is very good at describing what it was like growing up with Asperger’s syndrome, a form of autism. But he found that his book was only telling part of the story his readers wanted.

He found that they were also interested in how his knowledge and experience could help them or their family members with Asperger’s. So his new book “Be Different” is a series of stories in which Robison reveals coping strategies he has devised, insights he’s gained, and discoveries he’s made that can help fellow Aspergians, their loved ones .. or anyone who just feels different.

  1. Ryan says:

, girls his age want nothing to do with a guy like him. But when he’s thrtiy something and has managed to acheive a multi-millionaire vacuum afficionado corporation (hey, we can all dream big, can’t we??), these same ladies won’t be singing the same song, will they? So if we can teach today’s youth that it’s okay to be different and encourage it in our children in this generation(which I am doing with my own), then maybe we can have hope that those on the spectrum will be further embraced by society as a whole.

  2. Please let me know if you’re looking for a article writer for your blog.
You have some really great posts and I believe I would be a good asset.
If you ever want to take some of the load off, I’d really like
to write some articles for your blog in exchange for a link back to mine.
Please blast me an email if interested. Many thanks!

  3. Doing some searching and observed your website seems a bit all messed up in my K-meleon internet browser. But luckily barely anyone uses it any longer but you may want to look into it.
