Kimberly Dozier “Breathing the Fire”
July 6th, 2008
May 29th, 2006 was Memorial Day in the U.S. On that day CBS News correspondent Kimberly Dozier was on assignment in Iraq, where she had covered the war since its beginning.
But that day was the day Dozier nearly died – a massive car bomb killed her camera crew, a young army captain, and an Iraqi translator. Dozier was gravely injured, and spent months recovering. Now she tells her remarkable story of survival, in a book she calls “Breathing the Fire.”
