There’s a photo in Kristen Breitweiser‘s book, a picture of her husband Ron and their young daughter Caroline at the New Jersey shore. It was taken in September 2001 — and she says in the book, “It’s one of the last pictures I have of him. Ron had thirty-seven hours to live.”

Ron died in his office in the World Trade Center on September 11th, and Kristen was instantly transformed from suburban wife and mom to 9/11 widow, and then political activist. Her book “Wake-Up Call” details her efforts to get the U.S. government to find the truth about the attacks.
