Mary R. Morgan “Beginning WIth the End”
July 5th, 2012
Losing a sibling is traumatic; losing a twin, acutely so.
Psychotherapist Mary R. Morgan helps twinless twins find healing and peace, and she does so from the perspective of one who has felt that loss herself.
In 1961, Mary R. Morgan lost her twin brother, Michael Rockefeller, who disappeared off the remote coast of southern New Guinea. Mary and her father, then-New York Governor Nelson Rockefeller, traveled to New Guinea in a fruitless search for Michael.
Her unexpressable grief shaped the course of her life over the next 27 years. But now in her memoir, “Beginning With the End,” Morgan explains how she finally came to terms with her loss and found healing, and how she now uses that to help others.
