For a long time she didn’t want to write a book at all. Then, RoseMarie Terenzio says, she had trouble finding a publisher for the kind of book she decided she did want to write.

But now she has the last laugh, because her book “Fairy Tale Interrupted” has become a bestseller.

It is Terenzio’s story of the five years she was John F. Kennedy Jr’s executive assistant, gatekeeper, and confidante.

But this blue-collar girl from the Bronx wants you to know going in, this is not a dish-the-dirt or tell-all book. In fact the title doesn’t even refer to Kennedy ….

    One reason the book resonated with me is because I felt close to the author in more than one way. I’m a writer who worked in publishing in the 1990’s as an associate editor, I lived in a small studio, and I remember the feeling of excitement within the publishing industry regarding the Internet. This was also pre-911 and Manhattan…and the world…was a different place.
