Sara Mansfield Taber “Born Under an Assumed Name”
March 6th, 2012
“All through my childhood, my father’s shifting covert missions ruled us.”
That’s what journalist Sara Mansfield Taber says in her new memoir “Born Under an Assumed Name: The Memoir of a Cold War Spy’s Daughter.”
Taber was the daughter of a covert CIA agent, raised in Asia, Europe, and the U.S., living a privileged but often furtive and confusing life that she didn’t understand until much later.
Finally in her teens she was let in on the secret, but to this day she still has far more questions than answers.
