Brad Taylor “All Necessary Force”
January 20th, 2012
Somewhere in America, there’s about to be a terrorist attack, a blockbuster assault on a critical homeland resource that could cripple the nation — unless Pike Logan and his super-secret Taskforce can stop it, in Brad Taylor‘s new thriller “All Necessary Force.”
Taskforce’s job is to obtain the crucial information that America’s better-known and more high-profile intel operations can’t.
As Logan and partner Jennifer Cahill get deeper into their mission, however, it turns out there are two plots in the works. And they don’t have much time to stop them.
The story is informed by Taylor’s real-life experiences with Delta Force.

Richard North Patterson “The Devil’s Light”
May 5th, 2011
We’ve known for years that al Qaeda longs to execute an attack in the west that would dwarf the horrors of September 11. So, what if they finally, somehow, obtained a nuclear weapon? What would they do with it, for maximum impact?
Veteran bestselling author Richard North Patterson shows — in alarmingly realistic detail — just how al Qaeda could pull it off, in his new thriller “The Devil’s Light” — the title is an allusion to the awful, vaporizing light of a thousand suns created by a nuclear blast.Ironically, a key figure in Patterson’s book is Osama bin Laden. “The Devil’s Light” hit store shelves a mere two days after bin Laden’s death at the hands of U.S. Navy Seals.

Garrett Graff “The Threat Matrix”
May 2nd, 2011
The FBI’s reputation was built, several decades ago under J. Edgar Hoover, by agents going after high-profile gangsters, bank robbers, and kidnappers. Today’s FBI, under the quiet leadership of Robert Mueller, has become the nation’s major counterterrorism defense.

Confronting threats Americans never had to face before, today’s post-9/11 FBI is teaching itself new skills in the fight against terrorism.
Journalist Garrett Graff takes us inside the new FBI, an agency Hoover might not even recognize, in his book “The Threat Matrix.”

Jim Sciutto “Against Us”
September 13th, 2008
Hating America is no longer limited to wild-eyed fringe fanatics in the Arab world, according to veteran journalist Jim Sciutto. In his role as ABC News Senior Foreign correspondent, Sciutto has traversed the Middle East, finding that al Qaeda’s view of America is increasingly being adopted by middle-class, well-educated, mainstream Arabs.
And frighteningly, Sciutto has concluded that the Iraq war is, indeed, a shockingly fertile breeding ground for enemies of America. His book is called “Against Us.”
