President Barack Obama is at war — and his enemy is religious liberty, says longtime conservative activist Phyllis Schlafly.

In her new book “No Higher Power” Schlafly says there has never been a U.S. presidential administration so convinced that there is “no higher power than itself.”

Schlafly claims the evidence is all around us — an attempt to ban Bibles from miulitary hospitals. defiance of the Defense of Marriage Act, an open assault on conscience protections for pro-life doctors and nurses — but she says that evidence has been largely ignored by the mainstream media.

And Schlafly warns, it’s only going to be worse in a second Obama term.

Many ridicule organized religion, but few wield both the bludgeon and the broadsword with the skill of Lewis Black. In his book “Me of Little Faith,” Black confronts the sublime and the ridiculous of religion — well, more ridiculous than sublime.

And he finds plenty of it. This is not a book for the easily offended, but many will find Black’s black humor right on-target.
